Our Review Process
From first inquiry to bound report
Overview
Every engagement follows the same respectful sequence: scoping, preparation, private session, and documented delivery. We designed this process over six years of working with holders who value discretion as much as accuracy.
Inquiry & Scoping
You contact us with a brief description of your setup — number of devices, single-sig or multi-sig, and what prompted the review. We reply within two business days with a recommended review type, estimated fee, and available dates.
Preparation Checklist
Once you pay the deposit, we send a tailored checklist: which devices to charge, which exports to prepare, and what backup materials to bring. If you are unsure how to export an xpub, we include illustrated steps for common hardware wallets.
Private Session
You arrive at our Gangnam office and are seated in a consultation room with no recording equipment. We begin with conversation, then work through each device methodically. Your signing devices never connect to our network. Breaks are encouraged — these sessions are mentally demanding.
On-the-Spot Reconciliation
Using exported public keys and blockchain data, we build a live picture of your holdings. Discrepancies are investigated together. We explain every step in plain language and pause whenever you need clarification.
Backup Inspection
We examine the physical condition of your backup media — paper, metal, encrypted files on SD cards — and note storage risks. We do not photograph or retain copies of any backup material.
Report Delivery
Most clients receive a bound report before leaving. Complex multi-sig engagements may require overnight preparation. The report includes an executive summary, address appendix, backup assessment, and recommended next steps.
Follow-Up
Within one week we send a brief email checking whether any questions arose after you read the report at home. Quarterly clients are invited to schedule their next reconciliation at a reduced rate.
What to Expect in the Room
- A quiet, private space with a large desk and two chairs
- Our laptop (for blockchain lookups only) and a printer for your report
- A Faraday pouch if you wish to store devices during breaks
- Water, tea, and no time pressure on the final thirty minutes
For Remote Holders
We conduct reviews in person only. If you are based outside Seoul, we can recommend dates that fit a visit and hold your deposit for up to 60 days while you arrange travel. We do not offer video-based reviews because we cannot inspect backup materials or observe device behaviour remotely with the same rigour.
